Dastur! We ask for support from our Mashaykh, from our Murshids. What support? The support that we get something into our hearts and that the ego doesn’t interfere. Ego and Shaytan like to interfere and prevent the heart from receiving its nourishment in its purest form. This time is a time that the Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, calls Akhir Zaman – end times – or Asr Jahilia Thani. Because before his time, before the time of the Prophet ﷺ, there was also Asr Jahilia, a time of ignorance, of knowing nothing, of going astray; of total insanity and confusion, which the Prophet ﷺ corrected – everything. This time is also a time of ignorance as the Prophet ﷺ said. In the end times, this time of ignorance will appear for a second time and it will be worse. It’s much worse than the first one, because now… people used to be approachable, they still had Aql somehow, understanding… also something to understand, to perceive, to speak.
Now everything is wiped out. Shaytan took care of the rest. Through technology, through cell phones and computers and similar things, and AI, he has now wiped out the rest, so that humans only have an empty… a vacuum where they should actually have a brain, there is nothing left. It’s hard to talk to anyone at all. Unless you receive from Allah, subhana wa ta ala, gifts of light, gifts of understanding, gifts of Aql – from his divine name Latif. And you get these gifts through the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and through his Sunnah, and through living in Islam, following the rules of Islam, following his Sunnah. The Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ is that he follows Sharia,100 percent, 1000 percent – he will not do anything that Allah ﷻ does not please, or he will not do anything, think anything – nothing – not allow himself any movement that is not pleasing to Allah ﷻ. This is Sunnah, the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ in one sentence.
And we have a Sheikh, and he sends us a Sheikh – the Prophet ﷺ sends us a Sheikh, one of his initiated, his intimate friends – Awliya Kiram – friends of Allah, friends of the Prophet, whom the Prophet ﷺ initiated, who follow the right path, that of the Salihin, the Siddiqin – he initiated them and he sent them to us. So that we are not left without food and without guidance. Because if we are without guidance, we are lost. If the Internet remains our only guide, and the phone, and the AI, then we are lost – then you are lost. You need the nourishment of the heart. The heart is your life, your heart, not your head or other parts of your body. They are just servants who are supposed to serve. Who do they serve? The heart. Your heart is your king… your heart. And you just leave it like that… „My heart, yes, um… My head is more important to me. And other parts of my body are even more important to me.“ You have a heart. This heart is from Allah ﷻ, and for Allah ﷻ. If you don’t take care of it, then you die, then you’re a dead person. You live, you move and you speak and you do and you do, you eat and you digest and this and that socially, but you are not what is called ‘alive’ – we are not. We are only alive when we are with our hearts. We are only alive when we love, love divinely, when we love that when we connect with love. And the one who connects you… there is a linker, there is one who connects you.
The Prophet ﷺ connects us all and everything. He ﷺ is the connection between creation and the Creator… of the entire creation, 18,000 universes and everything that exists at all by Allah’s ﷻ grace, in creation, the connection of this to the Creator, is the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ – a linker, a Wasila – ‘Fadila wa Wasila’. He is the connection. You may say: „Yes Rasulallah, ask Allah for me.“ It is not Haram, it is not Shirk. Shirk is themselves, they are Shirk, their ego is Shirk – they preach shirk. This is not Shirk, it is Adab, and it is the right path. And the Prophet ﷺ didn’t leave us alone, didn’t say „I’m going to the next world now, do whatever you want.“ Everything is arranged by Allah ﷻ, arranged wisely. He ﷺ left us the saints – the Awliyas, the friends of God – whom he himself initiated, through the Ashabil Kiram.
„Ashabil Kiram are our stars, are like stars, if you follow them, then you will find your goal“ – that is a statement from the Prophet ﷺ, so you follow someone who is now in this world, now in his body – now, today, here, with you – you have to find one and follow him. This is a must for every Muslim. If he doesn’t have that, he will go astray, he will go astray here and there – then it will be difficult. He has to connect his heart. At least his Niyyat, his intention must be: „Kunu ma Sadiqin! I want to follow this command from Allah ﷻ, I want to be with Sadiqin, that is my intention“ – with trustworthy ones, who do not lie, who do not line their own pockets, who no longer have ego, who have killed their ego. People like that… you have to find a person like that, and you have to listen to them, you have to be with them, you have to see them, you have to see them physically at least once a year – and hear their message every day. Our Sheikh, Sheikh Muhammad, gives us exactly the dose we need. 5 minutes a day, in the morning after Fajr, or at some point you listen to this. You can use social media for that, for something good, you can tune in, you can find it everywhere – a Nasiha. ‘Ad Dinu Nasiha’ – Din is Nasiha. Nasiha needs two – one to give Nasiha and one to accept it – right? – yes! That’s Din, that’s the way… Not, „I already know, I know everything and I’m doing something, I’m doing something…“
There’s some people who want to get married and they say: „No, we won’t do that. We are a Muslim state and we have to first… only when you are married by the state, married by the state, by Kafirin and idiots and in writing, then we will do Nikah for you.“ Are you crazy? Where do you get that from? From whom? I know who, I know exactly who, I know one hundred percent – his name is Shaytan. His name is Shaytan, that is known. You take this from that. Our Sheikh doesn’t do that. If someone comes and wants to get married, he says… in 5 seconds – because he is very fast, Sheikh Mehmed is one of the fastest – in 10 seconds the marriage will be concluded. And this is Sunnah. „An nikah min sunnati fa man raghaban sunnati fa laisa minni.“ And ‘hurry up’ is also Sunnah. Not, „wait until Shaytan intervenes a thousand times, and 1000 voices and 1000 doubts, and this one, and that one, and the mother, and the mother-in-law, and the aunt, and the family, and the brother and the…“ – they all interfere until the matter falls apart – no, Sunnah, hurry up if you agree, you love each other, father agrees, mother agrees, the close family agrees – (the Sheikh claps his hands) – Nikah! Remember the Sunnah, the way of the Prophet ﷺ. Not, „I do as I want and as Shaytan dictates to me…“. May Allah ﷻ protect us, inshallah, our hearts.
Shaytan is everywhere and lurks everywhere and tries to seduce us – and our ego loves that too. May Allah ﷻ prune our ego, open the hearts to love, that there is nothing else but the love for Allah ﷻ, and the love for the Prophet ﷺ, the love for the saints – divine love, that we achieve divine love, that the heart is moved, that you become alive – alive – not dead. Resurrected from the dead means that the heart becomes alive. There’s wisdom in that your heart is dead sometimes, there’s wisdom in that. The ego takes over, Shaytan takes over, your heart is dead – by Allah’s will, by Allah’s wisdom. He kills you, and He brings you to life, and He kills you again, and He brings you back to life, and He kills you again, and He brings you to eternal life – it says in the Quran. It’s in the Quran… It’s not just there once – no, no, it’s now, it’s now. Now you decide whether you live or die or are dead – NOW – whether you give in to the negativities, the depression, the worry, the Dunya, the… I don’t know what, or whether you say: „YA ALLAH! Yes Allah ﷻ, I ask to make our hearts blossom, and give life, from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, through our Shaykh.“
Rabitatu Sharifa – make Rabita with the Shaykh, so that the heart gets power and light and start to work, to beat – not only to pump, no – to beat in the truth, in the light. Therefore you make Rabitah, you have to connect. It’s all written in the Quran, mashallah… „Rabitu!“ is written there. A command. That is a command, one of the commands… „Rabitu!“ – „how, what?“ – with what do you connect then? „Karl is my best friend. ‘Karl knows what he wants!’ – ‘Karl doesn’t give up!’ – ‘Karl, a real guy!’ – that’s my best friend, I’m always connected to him… my nafs, my ego.“ – no, give me the right connection where I’m nothing, I’m nothing, I have no claim – no claim – no opinion.
Everyone has their opinion. Why do you have an opinion? What kind of opinion? Does Allah ﷻ say somewhere in the Quran, „What is your opinion on this? I create you and now tell me what you think. Well, I don’t think that’s quite right, so it’s all quite difficult…“ – your opinion, Allah asks your opinion? And the Prophet ﷺ says, „there comes a time when everyone praises his opinion…“ Everyone his opinion… Goethe… Goethe, a thinker, mashallah, a German thinker, I am so proud of him, mashallah: „Foolish that everyone praises their own opinion in their particular case. If Islam means devotion to God, we all live and die in Islam.“ – mashallah, a German! He also says at one point… Karl Marx – I read it on the Internet now – Karl Marx, a communist, atheist says: „Religion is opium for the people.“ He probably also smoked too much opium. And Goethe says: „Atheism is the greatest stupidity that a person can commit“ – stupidity, simply stupidity, stupidity. The greatest stupidity – and unintelligence, the opposite of intelligence – is atheism, says Goethe too, mashallah. Yes, these are thinkers. May Allah ﷻ help us to think correctly, and our Jamaat – to be with our Sheikh, to be with the Prophet ﷺ, better and better every day, inshallah.
